Overview

TheTexasDesi.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement that are reported to our designated copyright agent.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on TheTexasDesi.com infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our DMCA agent that includes ALL of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URL preferred)
4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification with our DMCA agent. Counter-notifications must meet the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complaining party files a court action.

Repeat Infringers

TheTexasDesi.com will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright.

Safe Harbor

TheTexasDesi.com qualifies for safe harbor protection under Section 512 of the DMCA as a service provider that hosts user-generated content. We act promptly on valid takedown notices and maintain a repeat infringer policy.
